  • WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY?
    Our focus is on modern party hits—anything to fill the dance floor. Pop, rock, hip-hop, Motown, country, and oldies. We also specialize in jazz and light dinner music. Our song list covers the last 6 decades.
  • WHAT KIND OF EVENTS DO YOU PLAY?
    Weddings, corporate events, company parties, fundraisers, festivals, city events, birthdays, mitzvahs, anniversaries, and any other kind of party or concert.

  • HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
    We have a variety of packages and options that affect our pricing. In some cases, the event date and performance length can also be a factor. Send us a message and we’d be happy to send you a quote.

  • I NOTICED YOU HAVE SEVERAL VOCALISTS IN YOUR VIDEOS. WHICH VOCALISTS WILL BE AT MY EVENT?
    We’re very fortunate to have some of the most loyal vocalists in the industry, which is rare for bands in Dallas. Gio has been with us for over 12 years, and Gary, over 6. That being said, our vocalists have careers outside of High Def which sometimes require them to be out of town. We have a small roster of excellent singers we’ve used over the years, and you can rest assured that the vocalists at your event will be top notch, and have a history with High Def.

  • HOW DO I BOOK HIGH DEF?
    Fill out our contact form and we’d be happy to send you a quote. If you don’t know what size band you want, or don’t have all the details yet, that’s okay! We can send you a basic contract for your event date and figure out the details later. We just need a signed contract and a 50% deposit to book your date.

  • HOW BIG IS YOUR BAND AND CAN I ADD MORE?
    Our core band is 6 people—female vocals, male vocals, keyboard/vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. You can add trumpet, sax, and/or trombone.

  • HOW LONG DO YOU PLAY?
    Typically 4 hours with 2 short breaks—about 200 minutes.

  • DO YOU PROVIDE YOUR OWN SOUND AND LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?
    Yes, we provide sound and stage lighting equipment with 1 or 2 tech members. Occasionally we will work with 3rd party sound and lighting companies for larger events. In these instances, the client hires the sound and lighting separately from High Def Band.

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET UP?
    We need 3.5 to 4 hours to set up and sound check. To tear down we need about 1.5 hours.

  • CAN YOU PROVIDE MUSIC FOR MY COCKTAIL HOUR?
    Yes, we can provide live or recorded cocktail music. This is offered as an addition to the band performance and is not sold separately.

  • DO YOU PROVIDE AN MC FOR THE EVENT?
    Yes, we MC the event for any introductions, special dances, toasts, announcements, etc.

  • DO YOU PLAY MUSIC ON BREAKS?
    Yes, we play an Mp3 playlist normally before we start, and during breaks. Let us know any requests you have for the Mp3 playlist.

  • WILL YOU PROVIDE A MICROPHONE FOR TOASTS, ETC.?
    Yes, we provide a wireless microphone for toasts.

  • SHOULD I RENT A STAGE?
    Yes, while we don’t require one, we highly recommend renting a stage! It helps your guests see the band and creates an energetic show atmosphere. We do not provide stages, but we can direct you to vendors who do. A stage size of 24 x 12 is preferred. The minimum would be 20 x 12.

  • CAN I TELL YOU WHICH SONGS I WANT?
    Yes, we recommend choosing 5 to 10 songs you love from our list, and 5 to 10 you don’t want us to play.

  • WILL YOU LEARN SONGS THAT ARE NOT ON YOUR SONG LIST?
    Yes, we can learn up to 3 new songs. Please give us at least a month’s notice.

  • CAN YOU PROVIDE WEDDING CEREMONY SOUND AND/OR MUSIC?
    Yes, we have options for ceremony sound and music. This is offered as an addition to the band performance and is not sold separately. Contact us for a quote.

  • DO YOU PROVIDE LIABILITY INSURANCE?
    Upon request, we can provide liability insurance for an additional fee. Please give us at least a month’s notice.

  • DOES HIGH DEF TRAVEL?
    Yes! Contact us for a quote.

  • DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FOOD FOR THE BAND?
    Yes, please provide the band and crew members with a hot meal for performances 3 hours or more. We appreciate it!

  • CAN WE HAVE A PHONE CALL, ZOOM, OR IN-PERSON MEETING?
    Sure, no problem! Send us a message and we can schedule a meeting or phone call.
